About Didar Motors
Started with Rajdoot Motorcycles in 1964 in the name and style of Southern Auto Agencies. Thereafter added Yamaha Motorcycles in 1983 with RD350 and later with RX100 in 1986. Started witha sale of 20vehicles a month and gradually built it to 1400 vehicles in the early 90’s.
Ours is a family business which was joined by Mr.K.B.Singh Kohli in 1973 with the production of sprockets and shafts as a small scale industry, who then took over the workshop in 1976.
Mrs.Arunjit Kaur joined the business in 1982 and the name of the dealership changed to Didar Motors in November 1982.Having been offered the HMSI(Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd) dealership in 2000, we shifted over to HONDA in June 2001. And there was no looking back ever since.
Introducing ourselves as the authorized main dealer of Honda Two wheelers (HMSI, GURGAON) presently and ours is a family business with Mrs. Arunjit Kaur Kohli as the proprietrix and her spouse Mr. Kanwar Bir Singh Kohli to run the complete business on day to day operations. Assisted by our sons (1) Didar Singh Kohli and (2) Bramjot Singh Kohli.
We are in the two wheeler dealership business since 1964 (then founded by (late) S. Hardit Singh Kohli in the name and style of Southern Auto Agencies then dealer for Rajtoot Motor Cycle by Escorts ltd, and later with Yamaha). And as on date we have 4 showrooms along with workshop & parts and a separate parts warehouse.
Arunjit Kaur Kohli having graduated as a B. corn joined the family business in 1982 as a partner alongwith (late) S Hardit Singh Kohli where and after his demise in 1992 she became the proprietxix and alongwith her spouse K B Singh took the dealership to greater heights in achieving the No 4 Slot all India for Yamaha and Rajdoot motorcycle dealership and having retained the No 1 Slot for South India for quite no of years. Arunyt kaur kohli was more involved in the administration and service fields of the dealership.
Kanwarbir singh having joined his father’s business in 1973 was firm involved into a small scale industry making sprockets, shafts etc for two wheelers. Thereafter took change of the workshop and then into sales and overall in change of the dealership.
Didar Singh Kohli having graduated in MBA (Finance) joined the family business in 2004 and took over mainly accounts and other required avenues.
Bramjot Singh Kohli having graduated in MBA (FIR & MARKETING) joined the family business in 2008 and took over as incharge of two branches then, namely at Egmore and T.nagar.
